Devotional Fusion
John Hinton & Debra Podjed
Song is a doorway to the next world.
Let the heart sing,
so that it can enter there
and know God.
Devotional Fusion brings together songs and chants from many Traditions, to experience the Divine that moves through us.
Our compositions ― ancient & modern, traditional & original ― embody Sikh, Hindu, Sufi, Jewish, Christian, Buddhist, Pagan, Goddess traditions, and more. Devotional Fusion gatherings are nuanced toward an inclusive acceptance of all peoples and traditions. Devotional Fusion is interactive – we sing and chant together.
John Hinton has been involved in devotional music since childhood. Singing and playing the guitar, John brings a universal quality to the songs, chants, and dances he has created to honor the world’s spiritual traditions. He has participated in Christian, Jewish, Sikh, Baha’i, Sufi, Buddhist and other traditions ― thus bringing the spirit of these traditions to his music. John is a writer, poet, artist, musician and leader of the Dances of Universal Peace.
